I've been waiting for you

Theme: Self-image/gaze/personality disorder/horror
Duration: 8minutes 40 seconds
Directed by Áine Belton & Aoife O'Sullivan
Filmed entirely on location in Ashbourne, County Meath

Inspired by the B-movie director John Carpenter (Director of Halloween and composer of the film soundtrack), Pigeonbrain productions came up with this short film about a girl who is stalked one evening by an unknown being.
A domestic setting fills our screens with the protagonist preparing food, unaware of the predator gazing through the steamy windows. The music is sometimes minimal and symbolises the character's dispositions. 'Theme, unchanged' is repeated twice during the film beginning with the opening shots of our protagonist's chase and ending with her demise. Appropriately titled 'Theme, unchanged' we see in the latter half of the film, that a pattern is about to occur...

'I've been waiting for you' had it's premier at 'Hallowevening' at the Back Loft on the 22nd of October 2009.
